House of Prayer: September Prayer Points

News––Frenchie Richards Prayer Points

“My house shall be called a house of prayer for all nations.” ––Isaiah 56:7

Answered Prayers (Thank You, Lord):

1. For a glorious Rally Sunday. 2. For the safe return of our clergy and families from summer events. 3. For the propert restoration that is being accomplished for St. Philip’s. 4. For those who have contributed to the Shine the Light Campaign. 5. For the well-attended service officiated by Bishop Edgar that joined St. John’s Chapel and Holy Trinity together. 6. Thank you that the sale for the Camp Jubilee property (78 acres with a mile of waterfront on Lady’s Island) has been signed. Thank you for the first financial goal that was reached; may the rest needed be received. Thank you for the architects and engineers that are beginning to work on the site plans for the new camp and retreat center.

Prayer Points (Local Needs)

1. For the Shine the Light campaign to meet its goals. 2. For the Classical Christian School Committee and its subcommittees to be successful and to be guided by the power of your Holy Spirit with wisdom and unity in their decisions. 3. For our clergy, staff, Vestry, and our Sunday school/youth teachers and volunteers. For Connie and her kitchen crew to continue to bless us with good meals. 4. For you to continue to inspire Chris and Paul with beautiful choices for the worship. For blessings on the members of the choir and praise teams. 5. For the fall Foundations class and the October Spiritual Gifts workshop. 6. For revelation for any new ministries the Lord may want for St. Philip’s. 7. For families to join me and my family in standing guard in prayer over the gates of St. Philip’s, praying for safety and that no enemy of Christ may pass through them. We are calling this the Nehemiah/Ezra Project. 8. For wisdom for the group working on the Union Pier property plans as well as the plans for the American Gardens, a park between Meeting and King Streets with a planned 2025 opening. 9. For safety from flooding and hurricanes.

Prayer Points for the Nations

Ukraine: 1. For a peaceful solution and end to the war in Ukraine. For wise leadership. 2. For the hostages to be found and prisoners to be released.  3. For protection from Russian invasion for the surrounding countries.

Haiti: 1. For needed military resources to be sent in. 2. For humanitarian aid to get through. 3. For gangs to be broken up. 4. Thank you for Secretary of State Blinken’s recent visit and pledge for aid.

Israel: 1. For a solution or peace agreement to be found. 2. For hostages to be released and for safety for the soldiers searching for them. 3. For a hedge of protection around Israel and peace within the walls of Jerusalem. 4. For mercy for those displaced during the war. Watch over them and provide for them, Lord. 5. For Iran’s involvement to be blocked.

Taiwan: 1. Protect this nation from a Chinese takeover.

USA: 1. For the upcoming elections to go smoothly. That only those that are God’s choices will be elected. 2. For the cartel networks to be destroyed and for the thousands of children that are misplaced to be protected and found. 3. For the fear of the Lord to be in every meeting in Congress and Supreme Court and in the presidential debates. 4. For revival to break out all across America. Thank you, Lord, for the Ohio State football players and members of the Revive Students group who gave testimony at an event during which over 60 Ohio State students were baptized.

Continue to pray for our country. Have mercy, Lord.
