Welcome, Trisha Reese, Nursery Ministry Coordinator!

And a huge thank-you to Morgan Bearsch!
Dear St. Philip’s Family,
Some of you may know that Ms. Morgan Bearsch, who has been lovingly welcoming the children in nursery for the past three years in addition to working in our preschool five days a week, recently made the decision to step away from her role as Nursery Ministry Coordinator to make a shift in her work/life balance. We completely understand and support Morgan’s decision, and we continue to be so grateful for her and the love and care she has shown the youngest members of our congregation!
Nursery Ministry Coordinator is an extremely important role, and I am delighted to share that after prayerful consideration, Trisha Reese, whose husband, Paul, serves as Associate Director of Music and Organist at St. Philip’s, has accepted the call to serve in this vital ministry!
Trisha has worked with children and their parents in various capacities for over twenty years, including as a teacher and school administrator, and she’s worked in children’s ministries in other churches. She is deeply committed to discipling the next generation of the church, and she believes it is never too early for discipleship to begin.
The Reese family began attending St. Philip’s in September 2023 when Paul came on staff, and Trisha was thrilled that he had found a music ministry job at a church where they both loved to worship and serve and that had a body of believers that they wanted their son, Paul Frederick, to learn from.
“Whether holding your infant and praying for him or her and your family, or teaching Scripture and praise songs to toddlers,” Trisha says, “I hope to provide a spiritually nurturing environment for our youngest parishioners where they can encounter Jesus!”
Please join me in welcoming and praying for Trisha in this position. I know she will be a blessing to our church family and especially to our nursery-aged families and visitors.
Nursery for children ages 0–3 is offered during the Sunday school hour and the 10:30 service.
