Renaissance and Reformation: A Passion Play Journey

June 11, 2022 to June 20, 2022
All Day
Category: PilgrimageAn invitation from the Reverend Jeffrey S. Miller:
Dear St. Philip’s Family,
The death and resurrection of Jesus Christ are at the heart of our faith as Christian people, and one of the most compelling depictions of these events takes place every ten years in Oberammergau, Germany. I invite you to join me June 11 through 20, 2022, on a special "Renaissance and Reformation" pilgrimage to see the world-famous Passion Play and to visit Wittenberg, the place where Martin Luther nailed the ninety-five theses to the door of the castle church and ignited the Protestant Reformation. Our journey will carry us along the famous Danube, the River of Kings, from Budapest to the picturesque Bavarian village of Ettal. We have obtained the very best tickets available for the Passion Play and we will enjoy fellowship, breathtaking views, and magnificent cathedrals and abbeys along the way. This is a unique opportunity since COVID-19 bumped the Passion Play by two years, and it promises to be an inspiring and exciting experience! Mark your calendars and make your reservations!
Faithfully,
Jeff+
