St. John's Chapel
18 Hanover St. (29403)
St. John’s is a mission church of our diocese that reaches out to its Eastside community twice a month with a Holy Saturday Brunch. Several St. Philippians have volunteered, and the St. Philip’s Home Missions Committee will continue providing leadership for this partnership on the third Saturday of each month. All St. Philippians are welcome to come and participate! Five to ten volunteers are needed each brunch and the time commitment is from approximately 10:00 a.m. to approximately 1:00 p.m. If you are interested in joining us, please contact Ben Hagood at firstname.lastname@example.org or 843-709-9801. Come, serve, and join the fun!
St. John's Summer Camp
From June 10-July 26 (8:00 a.m.-5:30 p.m.), St. John's is hosting a summer camp that will help children ages 6-15 and their young adult counselors develop academic and social skills outside of a traditional classroom setting. The camp needs 15 volunteers daily to assist counselors with tutoring, arts and crafts, games, free play, field trips, serving meals, etc. If you can donate any amount of time, please contact the Rev. Matthew Rivers at stjohnschapel878@gmail.
At St. Philip's
We are seeking additional volunteers to swell our ranks as we OPEN OUR DOORS for the summer. It is an honor and pleasure to be an ambassador for St. Philip's. We have needs for volunteers for weekday shifts of 10:00-12:00, 12:00-2:00, and 2:00-4:00 pm. Come and join this important, necessary, and fun ministry. We offer complete training and assistance. You will absolutely love it! If you can give two hours of your time during the week, please call Ed Pendarvis (843-819-7842) or Elizabeth Bowles (843-722-0271).
