Prayer Ministry

I urge, then, first of all, that requests, prayers, intercession
and thanksgiving be made for everyone. 1 Timothy 2:1

St. Philip’s has an active Prayer Ministry.

We have a prayer chain for emergency prayer requests for St. Philippians and their immediate family. A call can be made to the church office at 722-7734 to get all the people on the prayer chain (32 in all) praying as soon as possible. The requests for the prayer chain are kept private unless the caller wants to put the prayer requests on the church Prayer List as well.

Our Prayer List is two-dimensional: one is public and is printed in the inSPIRE, e-SPIRE, and Sunday Bulletins, and one is private and for the ministers and prayer intercessors only. These lists are for more long-term prayers, not necessarily emergencies such as the prayer chain requests. These lists include prayers for St. Philippians and/or their close relatives who are sick, grieving, expecting a baby, or have loved ones serving in the military or on the mission field. Click here to see the current public prayer list.

Private Prayer

We also offer private prayer sessions with members of our prayer ministry team. If you are dealing with issues or problems and would like someone to pray through them with you, please consider this ministry.

St. Philip's prayer ministers have been trained and hold all discussion and prayer in total confidence. If you have any questions or would like to make an appointment, please contact a member of the prayer team:
