At its heart, membership in the Christian church is marked by active participation in the ongoing life of the community. This life is described in Acts 2:42-47 and is summarized in the solemn vow which is taken during the service of Baptism:
“Will you continue in the apostles' teaching and fellowship, in the breaking of bread, and in the prayers?”
“I will, with God’s help.”
Members are those who regularly participate in corporate worship on Sunday mornings, spiritual growth through the study of God’s Word, service in Jesus’s name, and financial support of the church’s mission and ministry. The sacramental rites of Infant Baptism and Holy Matrimony are reserved for those who are actively involved in the life and ministry of the church. To learn more about becoming a member, please visit our membership page.
