If you didn’t make it to this year’s parish retreat in the mountains of North Carolina, then you didn’t get to witness the joys of that weekend, among them the laughter at Friday’s social and sing-along, the hum of conversation as the bonds of our church family strengthened over each meal, and whatever happened at the hoedown that made the Millers and O’Dells react the way they did in the picture above.

You may also listen online at stphilipschurchsc.org/other-classes-and-offerings. Fair warning: You will be moved to tears more than once, and while some of those tears will come from laughter (who doesn’t love bulletin bloopers?), some will come from being reminded of God’s love and almighty power. (The moral of one story in particular that brought everyone in the building to tears is “When God calls you to do something, do it––and do it right now.”)
