“My House shall be called a house of prayer for all nations.”
Do you wish to learn to pray or would you like someone to pray with you or for you? Come join some of the following opportunities in helping St. Philip’s continue to fulfill the call of being a house of prayer.
Centering Prayer led by Pringle Franklin
8:00 a.m. in the Prayer Room (Ministries Hall)
This ministry is open to all who desire to venture deeply in God’s presence in a small group setting. It ends with a time for prayer requests and short focused prayer.
Next Step Intercession led by Frenchie Richards
9:30 a.m. in the Prayer Room (beginning October 17)
This group is open to those who want to learn and those who feel led to pray for our country, the city, the church, clergy, and other nations.
Prayer Ministry led by Juanita Orvin
1:30 p.m.–3:00 p.m. in the Prayer Room (by appointment)
This ministry offers one-on-one healing prayer for any cares or concerns. It can also be a time not only to receive prayer but also to have an opportunity to learn how to pray and encourage others.
Other Prayer Ministries
“The effective fervent prayers of the righteous avail much.”
Prayer Chain led by Suzanne McCord
This is a ministry that offers a way for emergency prayer requests to go out quickly to the group of intercessors committed to praying. The request begins with the leader of this ministry and is emailed to the chain of people immediately.
Prayer Teams led by Frenchie Richards (offered during Wednesday and 10:30 Sunday services)
This ministry offers a short time of prayer after communion (or after dismissal at Morning Prayer) in teams of two for those seeking prayer for any concerns. It is also a time of thanksgiving for answered prayers, or just a time of much needed encouragement. If you are interested serving on a team, required training is available.
