Our church members have done it again! We would like to thank all of you who helped deliver the poinsettias that were sent to our church family members who have lost a loved one this year, who are on our prayer list, or who are unable to get to church, and to our dedicated and faithful staff and clergy. This is a meaningful and growing part of the CC’s ministry, and we could not have done without your help. After the Lessons and Carols service, you picked up 90+ poinsettias and delivered them all over the Low country. We are so grateful. Our heartfelt thanks! Another Poinsettia Miracle for St. Philip’s Church!

During 2023, we delivered 83 meals, 13 hams, 42 flower arrangements to the ill or bereaved, six floral arrangements to widows or widowers on the anniversary of their spouse’s death, 10 arrangements at Easter to members on prayer list! Our note committees have written 26+ notes of encouragement and 30 bereavement cards to church members. We would like to thank the members of this amazing committee for their willingness to serve. Jane Galis and Sherrie Wallinger have prayerfully accepted the call to co-chair the Compassion Committee starting in 2024. All of the flowers, phone calls, hams and notes are handled by the Core Committee.

However, the meals made and delivered are YOU! The meals are a critical and original part of this ministry. Jane and Sherrie want to have a fresh start with faithful volunteers who are willing to make and deliver meals. We will no longer be using the members-at-large email list we have been using. Fresh start!
