House of Prayer: April Prayer Points
“My house shall be called a house of prayer for all nations.” ––Isaiah 56:7
Give thanks with a grateful heart for our risen Lord!
Answered Prayers:
1. For all the glorious Holy Week and Easter services.
2. For the increase in Shine the Light pledges and donations.
3. For Alan Runyan’s excellent Rector’s Forum teaching series.
4. For the confirmation class of 30-plus children.
5. For the 92 adults who have chosen to get confirmed in May.
6. For the many visitors coming through the Open Door Ministry.
7. For the great attendance for the Foundations and Spiritual Gifts classes.
8. For the successful outreach ministries locally and abroad. For the safe return of the St. Philippians who traveled to Honduras.
9. For the successful turnout at the Walk For Water.
10. For the outgoing vestry members and their service these last three years.
Prayer Points: Local Needs
1. For Bishop Chip Edgar, that he would have the wisdom needed to lead this diocese.
2. For our clergy and their families: their spiritual vitality, leadership, family time, and physical health.
3. For plenty of volunteers and gift shop and dessert donations for next week’s Tea Room.
4. For the Prayer as Worship workshop to go well.
5. For the Shine the Light Campaign to reach its goal and for 100% participation among our parishioners.
6. For Ben Navarro, who purchased Union Pier, that his plans for its development may be excellent and balanced and for those working on it to be unified and wise.
7. For blessings on our new Mayor, William Cogswell. Give him wisdom as he guides our city.
Prayer Points for the Nations
Israel: 1. For supernatural peace and resolution to come to the war in Gaza and for hostages be released unharmed. 2. For wisdom for Netanyahu and his government as they make decisions for the nation, its people, and future plans for the Gaza territory. 3. For a hedge of protection around Israel and for the peace of Jerusalem. 4. For humanitarian aid to get through.
Ukraine: 1. For the war between Ukraine and Russia to be resolved. For mercy on all the soldiers on both sides. 2. For the release of the journalist being held in Russia. 3. For humanitarian aid to get through when needed.
Taiwan: 1. For protection from a takeover by China. For protection for our troops being sent to that region. 2. For the earthquake victims to be found and for the restoration of areas that have been destroyed.
Haiti: 1. For help to be brought to this nation to defeat the gangs. 2. For open doors for humanitarian aid to enter. 3. For protection for the clinics that continue to treat patients in the midst of the turmoil.
Ecuador: Thanksgiving for Dr. Bill Sasser’s dental team and their success and blessings upon the many patients they ministered to.
Nigeria: Thanksgiving for the answered prayers for the release of the hundreds of children kidnapped from their school.
United States: 1. For protection for the members of the Supreme Court, Congress members, and their families. 2. For the fear of the Lord to guide all meetings in Congress and special committees. 3. For God’s choices for all the election positions coming available in November. 4. For wisdom for the military advisors dealing with all the issues around the world. 5. For the immigration crisis to be solved. For the cartels to lose their power. 6. For Baltimore: For solutions to the many problems associated with the Key Bridge damage. For comfort for the families who lost loved ones. Thank you for the quick response that closed the lanes before traffic could move across the span.
Lord, we give You thanks for all the answered prayers and for all those that have yet to be answered.
