House of Prayer: February Prayer Points
Answered Prayers (Thank You, Lord):
1. For the National Prayer Breakfast in Washington, D.C., and other events surrounding it. For the Finlays’ ministry during that week.
2. For Wednesday night services and the growth we are experiencing.
3. For the diocesan clergy wives retreat at Litchfield.
4. For the many new members joining St. Philip’s.
5. For the ordination celebration for the new deacons in our diocese, especially for Doug Ringer from St. Philip’s.
6. For the many visitors coming through the Open Door Ministry.
7. For the gifts given to the Shine the Light Campaign.
8. For the beautiful fellowship at the parish oyster roast.
9. For the Prayer Ministry teams that faithfully serve on Sundays and Wednesdays. Thank you for our new members.
Prayer Points: Local Needs
1. For Bishop Chip Edgar, that he would have the wisdom needed to lead this diocese.
2. For extra energy and good health and protection for our clergy and their families.
3. For the College of Charleston ministry to be blessed and grow.
4. For the Foundations and Spritual Gifts classes to be well attended.
5. For new vestry members.
6. For the Shine the Light Campaign to reach its goal.
7. For excellent, balanced plans for the Union Pier development. May those working on it to be wise and in unity.
8. For continued blessings on Theology on Tuesdays and Mark Finlay’s men’s gathering on Monday nights.
Prayer Points for the Nations:
Israel: For supernatural peace and resolution to come to the war in Gaza and for hostages be released unharmed. Thank you for those that have been released. 2. For wisdom for Netanyahu and his government as they make decisions for the nation and its people. 3. For a hedge of protection around Israel and for the peace of Jerusalem. 4. For the children stuck in the middle of this war to get humanitarian supplies and shelter to them.
Ukraine: 1. For the war in Ukraine to be resolved. For mercy on all the soldiers on both sides. 2. For the release of the journalist being held in Russia.
Taiwan: 1. For protection from a takeover by China. For protection for our troops being sent to that region.
Haiti: 1. Bring help to this nation to defeat the gangs. For open doors for humanitarian aid to enter. For protection for the clinics that continue to treat patients in the midst of the turmoil. (Thanksgiving for the release of the 6 missionary nuns that had been captured.)
America: 1. Bring unity between the House and the Senate so that the necessary bills can be passed. 2. For protection for the members of the Supreme Court, Congress members, and their families. 3. For the fear of the Lord to guide all meetings in Congress and special committees. Surround the leadership in Congress with people that can guide them with wise council 4. For the government to be good stewards of the country’s finances. 5. For wisdom for the military advisors dealing with all the issues around the world. 6. For inflation to come under control, especially as it affects seniors, the poor, and those on fixed incomes. 7. For the immigration crisis to be solved. For the cartels to lose their power. 8. For protection for the children coming into this country.
Prayers for your children/grandchildren:
Lord, we are crying out and lifting up our children to You. We are standing before the courts of Heaven declaring and decreeing that no weapon formed against them shall prosper. We declare that they shall live and declare the works for the Lord. They shall be successful and prosper. They will receive favor in abundance. We pray in the mighty name of Jesus. Amen.
