We are currently holding services in our Parish Hall on the corner of Church and Cumberland Streets. The sanctuary and graveyard are closed to weekday visitors due to construction and renovations taking place as part of our Shine the Light capital campaign.

Grandparents have a unique opportunity to pass down wisdom, values, and faith to their grandchildren, including how to handle money from a biblical perspective. With today’s culture promoting instant gratification and excessive spending, grandparents can help their grandchildren develop a strong foundation of financial stewardship based on God’s Word. By instilling key biblical principles and providing age-appropriate financial guidance, grandparents can shape the next generation into wise and faithful stewards.

St. Philip’s first GriefShare course finished up at the end of April. What a privilege it was for me, Juanita Orvin, and Gerry McCord to facilitate this strong grief support program! Thirteen participants completed their work each week, covering topics such as “What is Normal?”, “Loneliness and Sadness,” “Self Care,” “Anger,” “Regrets,” “Questions for God,” “Hope and Resilience,” and more. Here’s what a few folks said about their experience:...

Have you ever stopped to just wonder at Jesus––his childhood, his miracles, his death and resurrection, his plan for a second coming? Last week at St. Philip’s, 65 children ages 4–11 and over 30 youth and adult volunteers did just that!

The World Missions Committee and Uganda Christian University Partners are offering St. Philippians a chance to go on pilgrimage to East Africa October 17–29! We will be spending the majority of our time with our ministry partners at Uganda Christian University (UCU) in Mukono, about 12 miles east of the capital, Kampala, and we will conclude our pilgrimage with a full African safari at Murchinson Falls National Park to observe Uganda’s treasure––its wild animals on the savanna! We will be on the lookout for kob, giraffes, elephants, baboons, warthogs, and even lions and leopards. When we take a boat ride on the Nile to Murchinson Falls, keep your eyes peeled for hippos, beautiful birds, and crocodiles....
According to New Wineskins, an Anglican organization whose mission is “to advance the Kingdom of God by mobilizing Anglicans for authentic, cross-cultural partnership around the world,” more than 260 million Christians live in places where they experience high levels of persecution, just because they follow Jesus––1 in 8 believers worldwide! If those of us who foll...
In Honduras, there is a new building under construction at LAMB which we are calling Mirada de Jesus: the Gaze of Jesus. This building, located close to the campus of God’s Littlest Lambs Children’s Home, will soon be home to a group of young people with special needs who have grown up as part of the LAMB family....
Each week in our services, we pray together as a congregation for the individual missionaries and world mission partners that St. Philip’s supports. These include The Dufatanye Organization in Rwanda, La Gonâve Partnership in Haiti, the LAMB Institute in Honduras, medical ministries in Honduras, and Water Mission. But besides asking God to “bless these ministries,” ...
It has been said that there are two ways to support missions: to be a missionary, or give financially to support a missionary. But this viewpoint overlooks one of the most vital and important elements of mission, and one in which we can all play a role: prayer!...
Life at God’s Littlest Lambs Children’s Home in Honduras has been very different during the past several months as our committed staff have worked tirelessly to care for the more than 60 children whose home is with LAMB. They have faced great challenges along the way. We are grateful that through God’s mercy and the diligence of our Honduran staff, we have not had a ...
If you are anything like us, you are finding the Sunday morning St. Philip's services an enormous blessing during these days of uncertainty and isolation! At the end of a long week where bad news seems to abound, it has been so reassuring and comforting to hear some good news on Sunday mornings...
We celebrated Mission Sunday last week and had the opportunity to highlight the many ways that we as a congregation at St. Philip's are “doing mission,” or reaching out to others with the love of God in the name of Jesus by the power of the Holy Spirit. Mission is an integral part of what God calls us to do as Christ-followers.
While the Great Commission is commonl...
Summer is TEAM season at LAMB! Every year, LAMB hosts teams of volunteers who come to Honduras to serve God and the ministry. They do so in a variety of ways. Some teams are specially trained and come to provide a particular service, like our medical and dental teams. They provide health care or dental care not only to our kids at LAMB, but also to poor communities in Hond...
In the past few months, God has been blessing LAMB with the most precious of gifts: more children at our children's home! Already home to over 50 children, God's Littlest Lambs Children's Home in Honduras has seen a sudden increase in the number of children we have been asked to provide care for. Most of these new little ones are babies! Since December, God has brought sev...
